Planning a Couples Massage in Athens: What to Know Before Booking

A couples massage brings two appointments together in one shared experience. At Platinum Bliss Spa, you relax side by side, with a separate therapist for each guest. The setting is shared, while pressure and areas of focus are discussed individually.

Whether you are planning a quiet afternoon together or marking an occasion, a little coordination before booking helps the visit feel unhurried. Here is how to plan a couples massage at our Athens spa, along with what to check if our Watkinsville location is more convenient.

Agree on the time, then discuss individual preferences

Start by choosing a session length that works for both of you. Our current couples massage options are 60 minutes for $210 or 90 minutes for $290. These prices cover both guests; optional add-ons are priced separately.

You do not need to want the same pressure or the same areas of focus. One guest might prefer a flowing, relaxing session while the other wants more attention to shoulders or legs. Share those preferences during booking when possible, and discuss them with each therapist before the session.

Book the couples service so both therapists align

In online booking, choose your location and the option to book for one person or a couple. Select Couples Massage and your preferred duration, then follow the prompts to choose both therapists and an available time.

A single therapist’s open appointment does not establish availability for a couples session. The booking needs two therapists at the same time, along with the shared space. If your preferred time is missing, call (706) 850-5555 for help coordinating options before making separate reservations.

Check the location in your confirmation

Our Athens spa is at 1498 Prince Avenue, Athens, GA 30606. If you are arranging the visit around a meal or another activity, leave room in your plans for arrival, getting ready, and checking out.

We also have a Watkinsville location in Oconee County at 1050 Barber Creek Drive, Building 100, Suite 101. It appears as Oconee in booking. Select the location you want before reviewing the available services and times.

Decide on add-ons before assuming they are included

Browse the massage menu and add-ons if you would like to personalize the appointment further. Check which options are available for your service and location, and review the displayed total. Couples add-on pricing can differ from individual-service pricing.

For a gift or surprise, it is still helpful to know the other guest’s general preferences. Avoid assuming that someone enjoys strong pressure, fragrance, or warmth. When you are unsure, keep the plan simple and let each person discuss their choices with the therapist.

Give each guest room to speak up

Arrive 5–10 minutes early, complete the requested intake information, and allow each guest to talk through their priorities. Sharing a room does not mean sharing personal health information with the other guest. Ask for a private conversation if needed.

During the appointment, either guest can ask for a change in pressure or positioning, or request a pause. Your sessions do not have to feel identical for the visit to work well for both of you.

Make room for a meal without rushing your appointment

A couples massage can be the main event or one part of a relaxed day together. For restaurant ideas, browse the Visit Athens restaurant guide, then check the restaurant’s current hours and reservation options directly. Allow time between your massage and your next reservation for getting dressed, checking out, and traveling. Choose your massage time before committing to a tightly timed itinerary.

Review the practical details before the day

Check the date, location, duration, and confirmation for both guests. Review our cancellation policies, including the request for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. If you are giving the experience without choosing a date, explore our spa gift cards.

When you are ready, view couples massage availability. Contact us if you need help matching the appointment to your plans.
