Licensed Massage Therapist

Platinum Bliss Spa is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist for in-person appointments in Athens and Watkinsville, Georgia. Our approach combines personalized massage, client comfort, and results-focused care.

Role and compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Compensation is commission-based plus gratuities; the commission rate and other terms are discussed during the interview and confirmed in the written agreement. Appointment availability is agreed together based on your availability and client demand. Spa hours are Monday through Saturday, 10am to 8pm, and Sunday, 10am to 5pm. These are business hours, not a required weekly schedule.

What you will do

• Provide personalized massage within your training and scope of practice, including Swedish and deep tissue techniques.
• Discuss client goals, pressure preferences, relevant intake information, and comfort throughout each session.
• Keep appropriate session notes and protect client confidentiality.
• Manage your client visit from greeting through checkout and reset your treatment space between appointments.
• Maintain a clean, prepared treatment area and handle linens and supplies used during your services.
• Honor accepted appointments and communicate availability changes or scheduling conflicts promptly.

What you will bring

• A current Georgia massage therapy license and completed massage therapy training.
• Professional communication, sound judgment, and respect for client boundaries.
• Confidence tailoring pressure and techniques to each client.
• Dependable availability and the ability to manage appointments in a self-managed spa setting.
